ABSTRACT :, A video cassette recording/playback apparatus, provided with a tape guide drum along which the tape is passed in a helical path as well, as a tape guide device which comprises a support which is rotatable about a spindle and at least one tape drive spindle or capstan mounted on said support, which upon insertion of the cassette into the apparatus projects through an opening of the cassette and is positioned behind the tape which extends near the opening and with the aid of which the tape is positioned around the drum upon rotation of the support. - 12 -
