Abstract From the Canadian patent

Mo-1572-Ca, PC-003-Ca, FLAME RETARDANT POLYCARBONATE COMPOSITIONS, ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Polycarbonate articles are provided with enhanced flame retardant characteristics by the addition of ferrocene or derivatives thereof to polycarbonate resins. By incorporating these additives, the polycarbonates may be used in applications where high temperatures and/or exposure to fire is encountered. These additives also provide flame retardancy without substantially affecting the other physical properties of the polycarbonates. Mo-1572-Ca PC-003-Ca

Why it's free to use

  • Granted September 1, 1981. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended September 1, 1998.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
