Abstract From the Canadian patent

A "free standing" electrical connector assembly comprises a plurality of electrical terminals each having a contact portion contained in an insulating housing and a terminal post projecting from the housing and having an enlarged portion for insulating in a hole in a printed circuit board. The posts are aligned in parallel relationship by means of an insulating strip through holes in which free ends of the posts extend. Apparatus for and a method of, manufacturing the, assembly are also disclosed.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted September 1, 1981. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended September 1, 1998.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
