Abstract From the Canadian patent

This invention consists of a recirculating hot air or hot water heating system in which the cold atmospheric air entering the combustion chamber of the furnace is preheated by combustion gases before entering the chamber so as to provide, more efficient combustion at a reduced quantity of fuel. The amount of heat obtained from the system for a given amount of fuel, is further enhanced by providing a heat exchanger in which spent return air is again heated in the heat exchanger by the hot combustion gases.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted July 28, 1981. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended July 28, 1998.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
