An article of manufacture and a method are disclosed herein for improving lubricity and wear resistance of a given substrate by applying thereto a composition consisting essentially of low-molecular weight tetrafluoroethylene telomers, an antistatic agent preferably, in the form of a tertiary amine and a volatile organic, solvent, and removing the volatile solvent to produce a thin, dry coating upon said substrate. Why it's free to use
