Abstract From the Canadian patent

46,565, RESISTOR-TYPE SOLID ELECTROLYTE OXYGEN SENSOR, ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An oxygen sensor consisting of an oxygen ion conductive solid electrolyte member coated with a porous cermet structure which exhibits a metallic and ceramic skeleton develops a resistance change in response to a change in oxygen partial pressure at elevated temperatures. The resistance change, when coupled to an electrical circuit provides an electrical indication of the oxygen partial pressure of the atmosphere contacting the oxygen sensor.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted July 7, 1981. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended July 7, 1998.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
