Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method for selectively combatting weeds in an infected cultivated plant locus which comprises applying to the plant locus an amount effective to kill the weeds without phytotoxic effect to the plants of a composition containing at least one compound of the formula, wherein Z represents OH or OR in which R represents an alkyl, group of 1 to 4 carbon atoms an ammonium cation, a mono-, di-, or trialkyl ammonium cation or an inorganic cation, together, with an agriculturally acceptable carrier.
