Abstract From the Canadian patent

In an electrostatographic copying system where a toner image on a photoreceptor is transferred to a copy sheet with transfer charges, which charges are removed from the copy sheet by passing the copy sheet under a detacking corona generator, the body of the copy skeet is supported to insure its stripping from the photoreceptor at a point under the detack corona generating electrode where the transfer charge thereon is only partially neutralized, while a restricted minor area of the lead edge of the copy sheet is stripped further downstream where it has been substantially fully neutralized at a fixed, position controlled by a mechanical stripper finger.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted June 30, 1981. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended June 30, 1998.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
