Abstract From the Canadian patent

Abstract of the Disclosure Moulds are made from refractory sand (or other particulate or granular material) obtained from that sand or material. In order to control the temperature of the sand used to form the new moulds the sand is heat, exchanged with a permanent gas in liquid or solid state or the cold vapour, thereof. The temperature of the sand is sensed. The heat exchange is controlled so as to keep the sensed temperature at or below a chosen maximum.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted June 30, 1981. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended June 30, 1998.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
