Abstract From the Canadian patent

Oxidative hair dye composition containing as "para component", compounds of the formula: or their acid addition salts, in which: R1 is hydroxyalkyl;, R2 is hydrogen, alkyl or hydroxyalkyl; and, R3 is hydrogen, alkyl alkoxy or halogen;, provided that when R2 is hydrogen R3 is other than hydrogen.
