Paper trim which is cut from the edges of a web of paper is conveyed in a conduit by air at less than atmospheric pressure to a separating tank. A fan downstream of the separating tank establishes the reduced pressure and a spray nozzle at the top of the tank sprays a pulp down onto the air and trim to separate the trim from the air stream and wash it down into a mixing tank.

Why it's free to use
- Granted June 16, 1981. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended June 16, 1998.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
