Abstract From the Canadian patent

Abstract of the Disclosure, A method and system of analyzing gas concentration by measuring the steady state pressure in a dual membrane cell. A first membrane is exposed to a test gas and a second membrane to a reference gas where the first and second membranes have differing permeabilities. The test gas and the reference gas continuously counterdiffuse through the membranes and the steady state pressure in the intermembrane space is directly proportional to the gas concentration of the test gas component.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted June 16, 1981. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended June 16, 1998.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
