Abstract From the Canadian patent

PHN.8737, 6.2.1978, ABSTRACT:, A device comprising an electron tube having two electrodes wherebetween a potential difference generated by a high voltage generator exists said tube, being provided with a protection circuit against excess voltages which is connected between these electrodes. The protection circuit consists of a series network of a capacitor, having a capacitance which is substantially higher than the parasitic capacitance between the electrodes, and a number of diodes whose forward direction extends from the electrode of highest potential to the electrode of lowest potential.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted April 14, 1981. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended April 14, 1998.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
