Abstract From the Canadian patent

A metamorphosed iron ore of the magnetite-hematite type is subjected to a programme of heat treatment in a controlled atmosphere to accomplish a frangible structure providing separability of the iron oxides from the other minerals thereof by cracking and weakening at crystal planes and boundaries, thereby adapting the modified ore for separation of the iron oxides from the other mineral content by low energy separation techniques.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted March 10, 1981. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended March 10, 1998.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
