A hermetically- sealed vaporization chamber contains heat-producing electrical apparatus such as a transformer to be cooled while dielectrically protected and also contains a, two-phase dielectric fluid (a liquid and a vapor). The liquid resides at a bottom portion of the chamber and is further, distributed of vertical cooling ducts which extend through the apparatus. The vapor is produced by vaporization of the liquid by heat from the apparatus, the vapor occupying space in the chamber above the liquid level.
