45,496, ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE, A tachometerless motor drive of the induction motor type is obtained by synthesizing the motor slip frequency from analog signals sensed at the input of the motor. The slip frequency signal so derived is used as one of the parameters for control, beside voltage and/or frequency or current and frequency at the input of the motor. Analog circuitry is used involving the derivation of a numerator N characteristic of E1 I1 Cos .theta. where E1 I1, and .theta.1 are given by the vectorial representation of the input current and voltage, and of a denominator where .omega.1 is the frequency of the motor supply.

Why it's free to use
- Granted February 17, 1981. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended February 17, 1998.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
