A harvesting machine is disclosed comprising a main framework a sub-, frame supported on the main framework through the intermediary of support means including at least one hydraulic actuator arranged at a transversely disposed location of the machine between the main and sub-frames a crop, pick-up device mounted on the sub-frame ground-sensing means arranged to, contact the ground and a hydraulic circuit providing communication between the hydraulic actuator(s) and a pressure-fluid source.
