A method for detecting a predetermined code word contained in received signals in a transmission system which operates with a four-phase type of modulation at the transmitter and coherent demodulation at the receiver, the code word being transmitted only as signals in two phases which are 180° apart and the received signals being divided into orthogonal voltage components during demodulation. The method comprises: forming a representation of the algebraic difference of the orthogonal voltage components of a received signal increment; determining which of the sum and difference has the larger absolute magnitude value; and evaluating a received signal increment in accordance with the …

Why it's free to use
- Granted October 7, 1980. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended October 7, 1997.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
