Abstract From the Canadian patent

A dentine pin has a screw-threaded portion intended to break off and remain in the dentine, a shank, and a latch portion for engagement by the latch of a dental handpiece. The shank is tapered or otherwise reduced in diameter to allow oscillation of the shank in the driving sleeve of the handpiece, thereby producing a self-aligning action. - 1 -

Why it's free to use

  • Granted September 9, 1980. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended September 9, 1997.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
