An automatic hydraulic turbine starting device compris-, ing a gate limit mechanism limiting the width of opening of the wicket gate of said hydraulic turbine and an actuating, element of the sensor of the head of the water supplied to said hydraulic turbine, said element having a profile cam said, mechanism and said element being connected with the main distributing valve of the wicket gate servomotor through a leverage.
