An amplitude limiting circuit comprises a high-pass filter for passing the high frequency component of a supplied frequency modulated video signal including a signal portion whose centerline of amplitude width is non-linear a first, amplitude limiter for amplitude limiting and amplifying the resulting output of the high-pass filter a low-pass filter for, passing the low frequency component of the supplied frequency modulated video signal, an adder for adding the resulting output signal of the first amplitude limiter and the resulting output of the low-pass filter, and a second amplitude limiter for amplitude limiting the resulting output of the adder.

Why it's free to use
- Granted August 12, 1980. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended August 12, 1997.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
