A rim is disclosed for converting a vehicle wheel into a dual wheel. Different sizes of tires may be mounted on the rim, so that the rim may be used in connection with different vehicles having different sizes of tires without having to obtain a new dual rim each time there is a change in the vehicle tire size. The dual rim includes a cylindrical drum having a fixed rim element located adjacent to an outer peripheral edge of the drum. An adjustable rim element is slidably located on the drum for axial movement away from or toward the fixed rim element thereby accommodating different sizes of tires.
