The invention relates to a device for reducing the risk of transmission errors in an information-transmitting system in which an interrogating, unit emits an interrogating signal and a passive answering unit reflects the interrogating signal in a frequency-selective manner in accordance with the, information to be transmitted. The said invention is characterized by the following essential characteristics, Detecting devices determine the level of reception of the low-frequency portions of the reflected interrogating signal. A switching device switches through any information received at a higher level. The invention is mainly for use on railroads.
