Title: VEHICLE SERVICE BRAKE PEDAL, Inventors: Walter R. Hinde Derek K. Keene, ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A service brake pedal for a stand-up industrial vehicle in which the pedal assumes a level attitude when an operator stands normally on the vehicle with one foot on the pedal and most of his weight applied to the heels of his feet. The service brake pedal is supported by a linkage system which applies a braking force to the service brake system when the operator's weight on the pedal engaging foot is shifted forwardly from his heel. The linkage is arranged to permit essentially all the operator's weight to be selectively applied to the brake system when required.

Why it's free to use
- Granted May 6, 1980. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended May 6, 1997.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
