A device for feeding logs has at least one pair of elastically resilient rotatable feed wheels which generally conform to the shape of a log being fed when pressed against the log, At least one of the feed wheels has means for reinforcing its shape at the upper portion and the lower portion, is generally free of reinforcing means so that it is more resilient than the upper portion.
