An electromechanical counter which includes a clapper which is movable in response to an electric signal is mounted for pivotal movement about a first axis. A verge is mounted for pivotal movement about a second axis parallel to and spaced from the first and is drive connected to a counter. The clapper and verge are interconnected at a point intermediate the first and second axis and pivotal movement of the clapper in one direction will cause pivotal movement of the verge in the opposite direction. The centers of gravity of the clapper and the verge are respectively coincident with the first and second axes. The counter is thereby rendered insensitive to mechanical shocks.

Why it's free to use
- Granted April 22, 1980. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended April 22, 1997.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
