This invention provides a pillow block assembly which allows the use of a plurality of self-aligning linear motion bearing units that can be fitted into a central opening. The invention is useful when it is necessary to have a long bearing unit and by the provision of a single pillow block with a base and auxiliary flangeless blocks with central openings which can fasten to the end faces of the block having the base. There is provided an arrangement which can be easily aligned particularly when the flangeless block has enlarged fastening bores through which bolts may pass.
