A vehicle bumper spring for absorbing energy resulting from impact forces, connected between the main frame and the bumper of the vehicle comprises a laminated thermoset plastic composite cylindrical element reinforced with continuous fiber. Upon impact the bumper spring deforms and, then restores to its original condition after the impact.
