Organo phosphate esters organo thiophosphate esters, organo, phosphite esters and organo thiophosphite esters in small amounts function as antifoulants in mineral hydrocarbon mixtures employed as feedstocks in petroleum refining which are subjected to elevated temperatures of from about 150 to 1500°F. and which are prone to produce material that deposits and accumulates upon the surfaces of refinery-type of heat transfer equipment contacted therewith. Such phosphate thiophosphate, phosphite, and thiophosphite esters may be used in combination with each other.

Why it's free to use
- Granted February 5, 1980. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended February 5, 1997.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
