A roller bit for rock drilling provided with a bit body the, upper side of which is provided with means for coupling to a drilling string and the lower side of which is provided with a number of stub axles on which toothed cutting elements are mounted so as to be freely rotatable. A locking ring for taper, cylindrical or the like bearing elements has a cylindrical surface capable of insertion into and fixing in a complementary cavity communicating with a race for bearing elements formed in the cutting element.
