Abstract From the Canadian patent

A process for preparing the novel compound N-oxy-ajmaline that comprises oxidizing ajmaline. The salts may also be prepared. N- Oxy-ajmaline is useful in the treatment of myocardium infarct and ventricular and supraventricular tachycardia troubles.
