Abstract From the Canadian patent

The invention relates to a device for avoiding internal circular flash during resistance butt-welding of pipes. The device includes a tool head with a body which head carries a, holder with a cutting tool. An appliance brings the tool head to the flash-removing zone, and the appliance is provided with a cantilevered rod whose free end is connected to the tool head. A radial feed mechanism of the holder is accommodated in a housing of its own and includes a drive for rotating the mechanism.
