Abstract From the Canadian patent

Process for the polymerisation and copolymerisation of ethylene under a pressure greater than 1000 bars and ethylene injector for carrying out this process, wherein the mixture of polymer and of monomer coming from the reactor is cooled by injection, of the monomer between the let-down valve and the separator at a pressure lower than that of the separator. The injector comprises a nozzle of throat cross-section S1 and a diffuser of throat cross-section S3 such that, q and 0 being the flow rates of the drawn fluid and of the motive fluid respectively, Q/S1 is between 0.20 and 1.35 t/hr.mm2 and , is between 0.10 and 0.30 t/hr.mm2. The invention enables the quality of the polymer to be …

Why it's free to use

  • Granted January 1, 1980. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended January 1, 1997.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
