Abstract From the Canadian patent

Graft copolymers prepared by reacting oxazolines or oxazines with cross-linked vinyl aromatic polymers having pendant halomethyl groups on the aromatic rings. As macroporous beads they are especially useful for removing phenolics from aqueous waste streams, and color bodies from bleached Kraft pulp effluent.
