Abstract From the Canadian patent

5,10-Dihydro-imidazo(1,2b)isoquinolines substituted in the 2- and/or 3-position(s) by an aromatic group have analgesic anti-, inflammatory or anti-pyretic activity. Except for 2-phenyl-5,10dihydroimidazo(1,2b)isoquinoline, they are believed to be novel compounds. They can be prepared in manner known per se by heating a 2-acylmethyl isoquinolinium salt with an ammonium salt of an organic acid or by reaction of a 3-amino-1 4-dihydroisoquinoline, with an x-halogenocarbonyl compound.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted January 1, 1980. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended January 1, 1997.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
