This application is directed to an apparatus for separating liquid droplets from a gas. The apparatus comprises interior and exterior curved walls which define an elongate chamber of generally uniform part-annular cross-section. There are inlet and outlet passages opening into the chamber and each of these is elongated in a direction longitudinally of the chamber and through which gas may flow into, around and from the chamber in a stream having little or no movement in a longitudinal direction. The exterior wall is provided with slits extending lengthwise of the chamber through which liquid carried by the gas may pass therefrom as the gas flows around the annular chamber.

Why it's free to use
- Granted November 20, 1979. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended November 20, 1996.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
