Abstract From the Canadian patent

This invention is directed to an improved rotary grinding mill such as a ball mill, rod mill or an autogenous mill, having an improved arrangement wherein the usual "overflow" or "grate discharge" arrangements are dispensed with in favour of an annular array of lifter segments providing a diaphragm having a radial clearance from the mill shell, being spaced from the inner surface of the mill head to provide an annular entry slot of restricted opening, with a plurality of lifter blades located therein.
