A distribution spout for a shaft furnace charging installation with an external sheathing of refractory steel and a lining of non-abrasive material. The lining is comprises a number of wear elements detachably affixed in overlapping relationship to the external sheathing, said elements being each provided with a least one rib positioned perpendicularly to the flow direction of material in order to ensure that the said wear elements will continually be at least partly covered with material.
