A stabilizer assembly is provided herein. The assembly includes in combination, a torsion bar having a central portion and end ????, the end portions being twistably mounted on the frame of a vehicle ???, slidable braking device disposed at at least one end of the torsion bar The slidable braking device has a slidable cylinder member and a fixed piston member secured, respectively, to the end portion of the torsion bar and the moving portion of the swing arm of the suspension system of the vehicle.
