Abstract From the Canadian patent

Particulate expandable styrene polymers containing organic bromine compounds and, to improve processability from, 0.0001 to 1.0% by weight, based on the styrene polymer of an, amine which is soluble in styrene and free from hydroxyl groups. The organic bromine compounds are present in an amount of 0.05 to 3% by weight. The amine compound has the general formula NR1R2R3 in which R1 is an aliphatic or cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon radical of from 4 to 20 carbon atoms R2 is hydrogen or, an aliphatic or cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon radical of from 1 to 15 carbon atoms and R3 is hydrogen or an aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon of from 1 to 15 carbon atoms with the, proviso that R1 has from 6 to 20 …

Why it's free to use

  • Granted September 25, 1979. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended September 25, 1996.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
