An improved process and apparatus are disclosed wherein the resin treatment of a web on a material treater is conducted utilizing only one gauge to effect precise feed forward control wherein measurements and calculations in connection with the weight of the host material the line speed, the roll speed and the roll gaps are jointly employed to effect said control.
