Abstract of the Disclosure: A vegetable sauce comprising a vegetable paste and an edible fat and other ingredients is blended heated, air is, injected, and the sauce is chilled and extruded into congealed strand-like form. These strands are conveniently usable when making food products that are to be covered or coated with the sauce, either alone or with other ingredients and then cooked, such as in the preparation of pizzas.
