The invention includes the improvement which comprises the step of pressing inwardly on the formed upholstery to thereby induce at least one fold or pleat therein at a desired location. The remaining material of the upholstery is straightened out before the material of the foam hardens. A plurality of such folds or pleats may be so induced.
