Abstract From the Canadian patent

A smoking material in film form comprising a filmforming binder, inorganic filler and a smectite perticularly, a bentonite, which smectite is finely dispersed throughout the material. Fine dispersion is achieved by high energy input during mixing with water, and results in improved ash coherence and greater combustion retardance by the smectite. The materials are characterised by relatively low air porosity.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted June 19, 1979. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended June 19, 1996.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
