Abstract From the Canadian patent

An improved printed circuit board is provided which carries a protective solder mask and which can be, wave-soldered without damaging the solder mask. A process is described for making the improved printed circuit board. The board has the distinguishing feature that the portions of the copper conductive paths which are covered by the solder mask are free of tinned coating.
