A C T, of the Disclosure, New dicarboximides of the formula (I), wherein, R represents a phenyl mono- to trisubstituted identically or differently, by fluorine chlorine, bromine, iodine, trifluoromethyl nitro, cyano, C1-C4-alkyl, methoxy or methylthio or monosubstituted by a methylenedioxy group and, Z1 and Z2 each represent hydrogen or together with the, carbon atoms to which they are bound they represent a carbon-carbon bond, and their use for controling insects are disclosed.
