Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method and an apparatus for granulating melts in, particular slag melts, using a fluidized bed the, melt being introduced into a fluidized flow which consists of relatively fine solid particles of a material the same as or different to the material to be granulated, and the flow being controlled in such a manner that the melt is divided into grains which are larger than the particles forming the fluidized flow.
