Abstract, Single phase compositions consisting essentially of aliphatic alcohols (C8 - C12) and specific nonionic emulsifiers which are polyoxyethylene glycol esters of fatty acids. The esters contain from 9 to 35 moles of polymerized ethylene oxide per mole of acid. In forming emulsions using the above esters the, ratio of aliphatic alcohol/ester is from about 3:1 to about 8:1. It has been discovered that the above esters are effective emulsifiers for alcohols used to regulate plant growth especially, in comparison with ethylene oxide condensates of sorbitan fatty acid esters currently employed. - 1 -
