The load anchors illustrated and described herein are for anchoring straps in place relative to a support track having a plurality of spaced rectangular openings that is, welded or otherwise secured to the sidewalls of trailers and cargo containers. The load anchors of the present invention are designed so that they can be positioned and retained in place without requiring separate fasteners. The anchor means comprises a pair of rigid load anchor plates, each plate having a notch in each transverse edge thereof.
